Uhhh, not sure if the scanner handled the slide film too nicely. But here we go anyways! I think the one I’m looking at comes with better software… let’s hope. I’ve got more of Congress coming from Friday, but I’m way too tired today, did like 65 working KMs today, pretty much straight hammering most of it too. And then I watched the fireworks from our apartment on the 15th floor. Had to take advantage of that since we’re moving soon. Anyways, I want to get to sleep early, I’m hoping it’s busy again tomorrow and I can make some money.
Oh, and Wee at Kensignton.

Congress show last night. Two FujiRoids before I strapped on some 120 transparency to the Bronica. I am kinda shocked that I managed to change a roll basically being pushed on stage by a rager of a mosh behind me. Anyways, the roll and a half should be back from the Lab on Monday night, how I’m going to scan them, I really don’t know. The roll of 35mm black and white I can whip up some mediocre scans at home.. can’t wait to buy a v700 off a friend from school slightly used.

Wish I would have framed this guy a bit better. OH WELL. Session tomorrow (Tuesday) night, around after work o’clock until darkish? I’ll have my camera and things there! And I would like to make more photographs.
Pretty sure the ones I took on transparency of Wee are actually well timed, though it’s hard to tell in the dark with no lights to see through the camera.

I can’t say much more about this photo other than it was epic-supergood-funtimes. Mostly because I need to run to work because I will be late if I don’t go quickly.
Also, I guess I came about this because I was asked to submit to the Vancouver Bicycle Film Art Festival. And I need to get my editing into gear so I know what I need to print! More on that later! K BYE.

Maggie sitting on my desk while I’m trying to clean my desk and get some things done earlier today.
The record player right there is pretty much making me be productive. Just put on a record and go! The one that is playing while she’s there is Neil Young and the Shocking Pinks. I found it at the flea market two weekend ago when Jason was in town. I bought the album largely because the cover photography is amazing. It’s a hand coloured print of Neil jamming on this lovely hollow body guitar (that’s about as much as I know about guitars). Neil’s suit and the background have been coloured expertly pink, the guitar’s accents yellow-gold. And to finish it all off, they made the cover with the printed rebate showing (exposing the photographer as hassy guy). The rear cover to the album is a photograph treated equally to the first, but just of his guitar laying against the wall. It’s really a nice piece of photographic design I guess, and you can tell that the rear cover was an afterthought, picked up off the contact sheet (or at least that’s how I see it). The inner sleeve is a close face profile, the background coloured pink with teal and black splatters. The photography is credited to Dennis Keeley, and a quick google search pointed me to his portfolio site. It’s a nice selection of things, and if you go to the end of his portraits portfolio (it’s a flash site, so no linking direct sorry!) you’ll see PeeWee Herman in front of that speckled backdrop, hand tinted in the same fashion as Everybody’s Rockin’.
Well since I went off on a tangent I actually brought down my productivity on getting all my clutter off my desk (and everywhere else). So I’ll get back to it. But here’s Maggie again sitting in the window.
