Uhhhhh. So today was my last full day in Vancouver. I leave on the plane tomorrow at 9:50 in the AM. Annnnndd, well, days like today remind how awesome Vancouver is.
About lunch we all Reilly, Jason and I got in Kathleen’s car, and headed to still one of my all time favourite skateparks, Seylynn. And all of us did something for the first time. It was an epic epic day. Awesome weather, best of pals, and a beer or two. Reilly got pumping all the way back up to the top, Jason went INTO a bowl for the first time ever, Kathleen was getting up onto the walls (I am so stoked, I think she’s just about at the point where she should be going into the bowl at the end), and I got over the hip and out of the bowl at the end. First time ever, and I even made it (although BARELY) over the second hip.
Yeah, so. There is a bad video of me doing it. And yeah. I’m getting all: “Leaving Vancouver sucks, pretty girlfriend, awesome skateboarding and mountains, just come with me to where I have lots of money and family/friends, okay? okay.” and Vancouver refuses to move. So look forward to probably some kind of post (though probably livejournal) about why I like Vancouver ect.
The Post Examination Nimiety of Inebriation Social was a huge awesome fun time! Thanks for all the dudes who came out, and Reilly for doing the majority of the work in organizing it. We will have one in the spring! Until then!
I need to pack SO HARDCORE, and I’m going for a sundown session at Metrotown skatepark. I hope others come also!
My plans, BEACH PARTY tonight, Kits beach, see the Facebook event page for more information! Tomorrow afternoon/evening time is Metrotown skatepark for a sundown session. And then hopefully to Seylynn early(ish) Monday morning, for one last taste of West Coast old school flavour. If you’re interested in coming to either, let me know! I’ll tell you when I’m showing up!
Uhhhh, so more mountains from the trip on Monday. I feel really lazy on the film, and scanning things, and, well. I guess I am! Sorry!
However, I found a company that does custom shapes ect online. And I will probably be looking into how much I can get nice shapes made once I get home. Let’s just say that I’ve got a few in mind, the first of which will be for the Top-Secret Skate Patrol, and then a bunch of other nice ideas. More will come on this when I get information (think mid-May), and the possibility of limited editions of hand screened/painted decks.
My main man Jason Edwards, on the way home from the legion. He was in fact, the only one sober. And as such, he recorded several entertaining videos, and took several photographs on my camera.
