I was wondering why the weather was being so shitty today. Then I remembered that the fair is in town, and the crap weather comes with it.

Going to Vanderhoof tomorrow, pretty effin’ stoked. Last day where I really get to do nothing but dick around and skate, without being completely dead tired from working. Which is starting Monday, I even bought boots today.

Cold War

I’ve stumbled (in that blog lurking way) across a company down in Portland Oregon called Cold War Skateboards. A snippet from their site says:

Cold War is a small company run by two guys who love skateboarding. Cold War is not interested in which pro is doing which trick at what famous location. Cold War exists to make the kind of skateboards that we think need to made, regardless of whether or not you buy them. We also prefer a skateboard that’s been screenprinted as opposed to a heat transfer. The tactile quality is nice.

Yeah, right on. Pretty much exactly what I want to do with Fun Police. So now you know. I guess look out Cold War. Har har. Actually, I’m writing them a letter and stamping an envelope (with regards to stickers) as soon as I make the next post. Also do check out the shapes over at their website (Shredwards, you should like this site in particular), and my particular favourite would be this one here, I wanted to use a shark in the future for one of my decks, perhaps great minds think about skateboarding.

Fecal Face linked this. Where apparently the US government is returning to the moon!

All I can do is think of jokes like:

“Bring Bush back where he came from!”
“They probably heard there’s oil up there.”
“It’s the new headquarters for the War on Terrorâ„¢. There will be a giant laser involved.”

Okay, the last one wasn’t good, but I’m sure the Nasa website could inspire more.

Jeff Werner is a man of travels lately. Into the Philippines at least. Taken from this post.

Another taste of some of the Newmarket street scene. It is such a scene.

Uhhhhm. So I start work on Monday! I’m actually pretty excited about it. The excitement will die after a few days, don’t worry. And I apologize in advance for any and all grumpyness that ensues.
